An Invitation to Submit a Dental Public Health Best/Promising Practice The Communications Committee is pleased to announce an opportunity to showcase New York State’s best and promising practices in dental public health. In 2009, the New York State Oral Health Coalition is calling for best/promising practice submissions from New York State oral health programs and their partners. Each practice submission may describe a practice, program, service or event that promotes or improves oral health for residents of a New York community, a New York region or for all of New York State. How to Submit a Best Practice Project The process is easy. All you need to do is provide a detailed summary of your successful dental public health activity (e.g. a practice, program, service or event) by completing the best practice form in its entirety. After receipt and review of your submission, the best practice will be posted on the New York State Oral Health Coalition website (www.nysohc.org). With your permission, we may also submit your form to be recognized on a national level with the Association of State and Territorial Dentals Directors (ASTDD) best practices program. For examples of proven and promising best practices visit the ASTDD website http://www.astdd.org For questions on submitting the form please email Ms. Paula Fischer at the Technical Assistance Center nysohc@oralhealthtac.org.
